Keeping your zeal!

It’s that time again guys!  I always find I get inspiration and motivation from the most unusual things. Take one of my most recent post for example, I learned to be creative with what I had and this was birthed out of my outfit not going how I planned. If you haven’t read it yet, stop reading, read it and come back.  Did you read it?  Perfect!

Now back to my story, whilst in selfridges I had another of those moments I’ve just mentioned. I ran into this beautiful lady in selfridges and I just couldn’t help but approach her and compliment her on her style!

I just loved how fashionable she looked and how she expressed her personality through her attire. For me, her look was Bold, sophisticated but yet, sweet at the same time. After complimenting her, we began to discus all sort of things! from fashion to business, to growing old and life itself.  She shared with me how much she loves fashion, bright colours and unusual things.  Now, it may seem like a normal or basic conversation, but meeting this woman left me in deep thought.  I found pleasure in hearing of her passion for fashion as a older woman and how she chose to not limit herself in how she should dress. Now this is not all, but some older women I know or have heard of, don’t keep up with fashion because they have been convinced once they reach a certain age they are ‘too old’ and others will judge them.  Working in retail also made me realise that with age, shoppers mostly go for comfort, regardless of how the garments looked. This is very understandable as your body begins to prefer certain clothes the older we get and we also want to look presentable. But surely, when it comes to a love for fashion we can still find beautiful pieces that's also comfortable. Right?  From our short encounter, I felt inspired to never loose my zeal for fashion and styling, because age shouldn’t limit how we dress, our dreams or our faith. Let me know what's your thoughts on giving up on your dreams/Goals at a certain age.  Do you think we should give up? or push forward?  Love LB x
